Once done, locate the exit and enter the next room. Once in the next room, head to the green area on your minimap to find a Sassafras tree and collect a few twigs from it. After you have obtained the twigs, look for an exit in the northern part of the room and go through it into the next layer of the cave.Īll the exits will be in the northern area of each room, should you attempt to exit the way you came, a warning message will appear stating that you will exit the cave completely and lose any twigs that you have collected so far if you proceed with this. Click on the tree to collect some twigs from it. Once you are ready, enter the cave and head to the green area on your minimap to find a Cinnamon tree. If you leave the cave at any point during the quest, you will need to restart from this point again. You will need the tools each time you enter the cave. You will learn that you will need to rescue the Phoenix by performing its ritual in its place.Īsk the Priest about the ritual to receive an explanation for how to perform it, as well as the needed tools for completing it. After you agree to help the Priest he will explain that the Phoenix which roosts inside the cave next to him has been severely injured and is unable to complete the ritual for its rebirth. The quickest way to reach the Priest is by fairy ring access AKQ (requires Fairy Tale Part Two quest) and running northeast or by the Eagle's Peak Lodestone teleport if you have it active. If the player has a tinderbox in their inventory they may then light the pyre and, by doing so, release the spirit of the shade. Once a player has obtained the maple pyre logs, they may use them, along with a set of shade remains (Loar, Phrin or Riyl), upon one of the numerous funeral pyres located to the south-west of Mort'ton's centre. These logs will then become maple pyre logs, and the player is granted 12 Firemaking experience. Once the sacred oil has been obtained players will need to use three doses of it upon some maple logs. This converts the ordinary olive oil into sacred oil, spending some sanctity percentage. Once the temple is rebuilt, players may light the altar in the centre of the temple and use their olive oil on the fire. To create the oil, players need to purchase normal olive oil from Razmire Keelgan's store in Mort'ton and then help to restore the temple that lies to the north of the town. Sacred oil may be made during the Shades of Mort'ton minigame after the Shades of Mort'ton quest. To make maple pyre logs, players must first obtain some sacred olive oil. They require level 50 Firemaking to light and grant 175 Firemaking experience when used to cremate a shade. Maple pyre logs may be used during the Shades of Mort'ton minigame to cremate the remains of Loar, Phrin, and Riyl shades.
